Description
A Group of Boxing Champion Carmen Basilio Signed Autographed Items, Including an Uncommon Hand Written Letter with O.J. Simpson Trial Content,
comprising of a 1991 AW Sports boxing card inscribed "Carmen Basilio" in silver ink and a letter addressed from the former welterweight champion to a fan named Todd who asked Basilio for his thought on the murder charges brought against the Hall of Fame Buffalo Bills running back. Inscribed in Basilio's hand, the letter reads:
Todd:
I too feel sorry for what has happened, as I know O.J. and have been with at a number of banquets. It's hard to believe that he did it. He has always been a gentleman, but love is a cruel creature and will make a person, male of female do some weird things. I am praying that evidence is found that he did not commit the crime. However if he is guilty he must pay the penalty like any one else. I really am upset about this. It doesn't do sports figures any good.
Sincerely,
Carmen B.
