LATE SHANG/EARLY WESTERN ZHOU
商晚期/西周早期 青銅饕餮紋簋
having a slightly waisted mouth cast above deep walls flanked with half-loop handles descending from horned animal masks, the whole raised above a tall collar-ring foot, and cast at the exterior with bands of dragons against a leiwen ground. Flushed with malachite and ochre encrustations.

Overall good condition, with expected rubbing and minor scratches, occasional flaking to regions of deep encrustration. The base with several cast patch repairs.
