Provenance
Josef Siess Söhne worked in Austria between 1895 and 1922. He created jewelry for the Austrian imperial court jewelers and collaborated with Vienna Secessionist artists such as Gustav Klimt and Joseph Olbrich. His pieces often had a religious subject and were influenced by the Jugendstil style popular in Austria and Germany at the time.
