An Apulian Red-Figured Fish Plate
Attributed to the Eyebrow Painter, Circa 350-300 B.C.
Diameter 8 inches (20.32 cm).
Condition
Intact.  With an open crack around the seam of the lip on the underside.  Some cracks to the surface with minor fill and overpainting.  Some losses to the glaze, especially to the added white and crackling to the black glaze in the central depression.  Some enhancement to the added white along the underbelly of the fish and some surrounding black-glaze.  Minor surface wear and some pitting throughout.
