A Continental Boxwood Lever-Action Nutcracker

Probably South German, 16th Century

together with a later screw-action example. 
Height 10 3/4 inches.

Condition
Fine condition with negligible surface wear and wear from handling. The lever-action and screw action work as they should. The lever-action cracker with a visible dowel where the shaft is joined to the base, and a few age cracks in the edge of the underside of the base.
