A Pair of George II Carved Mahogany Side Chairs
Possibly Irish, Circa 1745
Height 37 3/4 x width 24 1/2 inches.
This lot is located in Chicago.
Condition
Seat height 20 inches.
The frames of both chairs have been re-blocked and exhibit signs of worm damage. There are some consequential replaced stips in areas around the seat rail on both sides. One chair retains a break to one leg with dowel reinforcements on both sides. One chair with a small patch to the back left foot. One chair with repaired breaks to the crest rail and splat. Backs of both chairs are slightly sun faded. Additional images are available upon request.
