A Pair of Chinese Export Black Lacquer and Parcel-Gilt Low Tables
Late 19th/Early 20th Century
Height 18 x width 15 x depth 15 inches.
This lot is located in Chicago.
Condition
Both stools with one section of apron on one side having been cracked and repaired with overpainting visible. One stool with a large linear repair and overpainting through its top, probably to repair an age crack. Small touch-ups around the stretchers to conceal flake chips in the lacquer. An area of lacquer loss on one corner of one top. Dusty throughout with cracquelure.
