A Spode Pale Blue-Ground Botanical Porcelain Dessert Service

16 dessert plates
4 square dishes
4 shaped dishes
4 lozenge form dishes
1 two-handle footed centerpiece bowl,
the plates marked with iron-red 'Spode 2329' to the underside;
29 items total.
Diameter of plates 8 1/2 inches.

Condition
In overall fairly good and stable condition. Having very light surface scratches from normal use and/or handling and with minor rubbing to gilt decoration and loss to paint decoration, most instances not immediately noticeable. Some scattered firing pits and surface deposit visible. Some tiny spots of color and minute debris which appear to be trapped under glaze. The centerpiece bowl with one minute fleabite to the rim. The plates with some amber-colored adhesive in the crevice of the footrims to the underside. Examination under UV light shows no evidence of damage or restoration.
