[CIVIL WAR]. Cartridge boxes and pouch, incl. pattern 1864 example.


Pattern 1864 cartridge box with interior magazine tins, 7 1/4 x 6 in. Reverse includes belt loops and is marked near the bottom, "Young & Co. Newark, N.J." (some wear and cracking to leather, condition consistent with age and use). Accompanied by leather sling and eagle plate that are likely not original to the cartridge box, and may date to the 20th century. 

[With:] US Navy pistol cartridge pouch, 5 x 2 1/2 in. (wear to leather, including some abrasions, condition consistent with age and use). -- Pattern 1857 cartridge box, missing tins, 8 x 6 1/2 in., with indiscernible maker's mark under flap (reverse missing belt loops, heavy wear throughout, condition consistent with age and use).
