[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 5 images, incl. Seth Kinman & his "Grizzly-Bear Chair" and circus performers. 


2 CDVS captioned in lower margin, "The Grizzly-Bear Chair. Presented Sept. 8, 1865, to Andrew Johnson, President U.S., by Seth Kinman, the California Hunter and Trapper." Washington, DC: M.B. Brady, 1865. Additional credit in lower margin to Kinman, Washington, DC, 1865. Each with 2-cent US Internal Revenue stamp on verso (toning, one print with loss to lower left edge; corners clipped). Each carte shows the "Grizzly-Bear Chair," while one features Kinman himself standing beside the chair with rifle in hand. 

[With:] CDV captioned in lower margin, "Zalumma Agra, The Star of the East. Now on exhibition at Barnum's Museum." New York: E. & H.T. Anthony (clipped corners). -- CDV of large woman inscribed on verso "-ad Sherwood / Seville Ohio / Age 31 years / Weight 386." Guilford, OH: C.N. Ziegler (print and mount edges trimmed). -- Cabinet card of little person with faint inscription on verso. New York: Obermuller & Son (toning and some fading to print). 

Together, 5 images. Condition fair to good, with toning, occasional soiling, and edge and corner wear to mounts.
