Simple blowback operated internal hammer action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazine. Sights consist of fixed rear notch and matted front blade sights with red painted highlight added to the matting on the sight. Government service markings include PROPERTY OF U.S.A. to the top of the barrel, and U.S. NAVY/PROPERTY mark to the right frame above the {Crossed Cannons} marking. Manufacturer marks include the HI-STANDARD/MODEL "B" to the left slide and five-line mark on the left frame reading MADE IN U.S.A./THE HIGHT STANDARD MFG. CO./NEW HAVEN. CONN./PATENT PENDING/.22 CAL./LONG RIFLE. Comes with one magazine.
