Single action single-shot top-break handgun featuring an automatic ejector and latch mounted rear notch and pinned front blade sights on a full length fluted barrel rib. Standard markings include Smith & Wesson's monogram trade mark on the left frame, SMITH & WESSON to left barrel, 22 LONG RIFLE CTG between {Maltese Crosses} on right barrel, and two-line address and patent information on the barrel rib. Latter marking reads SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A./PATENTED OCT. 8. 01. FEB. 6. 06. SEPT. 14. 09 between {Maltese Crosses} Patent date on the left grip panel reads PAT'D AUG. 30. 92. Serial numbers match on the frame, latch, barrel, and beneath the ejector plate.
