Lot of Two Fairbairn-Sykes Commando Knives with Scabbards
1) F-S Type II Knife. 6.5" double-edged dagger blade, 11.5" in overall length with 5" round, palm swelled hilt with checkered grip. Oval cross guard marked {Broad Arrow} B2 on its top and then overstamped ENGLAND. Blued finish throughout. The knife is accompanied by the typical brown leather F-S knife scabbard with blued steel drag, missing the elastic retainer strap. This late Type II knife was likely produced in late 1942.
2) F-S Type III Knife. 6.75" double-edged dagger blade, 11.5" in overall length with 4.75" round, palm swelled hilt with ribbed grip. Oval cross guard marked ENGLAND. Pommel cap with mold number 4 mark. Blued finish throughout. The knife is accompanied by the typical brown leather F-S knife scabbard with blued steel drag, also marked ENGLAND and with a damaged elastic retainer strap.
