.40 caliber. 32" octagonal barrel. SN: NSN. Browned metal finish. Cherry stock has carved rococo scroll with foliate motifs to butt and forearm, as well as incised lines and a drooped cheekrest on left side. Flintlock rifle with an adjustable cast brass diopter tang sight, two leaf folding notch rear sight, and blade front sight. Item features double set triggers, sling loop and stud, and patchbox to right side. Stock features wax-cast brass filigree fittings intertwined with neoclassical and grotesque motifs. Includes a brown leather sling. Crafted in the style of 17th/18th century Carlsbad gunmaking family with the surname Breitenfelder.
