.44 Magnum. 4" barrel length. SN: AWH6577. Nickel plated finish overall with casehardened trigger and hammer, and mounting checkered walnut Smith & Wesson medallion grips. Double action hand ejector six-shot revolver mounting adjustable target rear notch and red insert front ramp sight on a ported barrel. Item shows standard make and model markings, and lacks the later internal safety lock.

Condition
Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling and some powder fouling and jacket residues. Some further specks of lubricant residue have hardened on the forward barrel and in places on the rear cylinder. Forward cylinder and internal frame display powder fouling. Right barrel has some discolorations forming in the seam of the front sight ramp. Flecks of brown patina forming on the hammer spur. Edges of the sideplate show some rippling along the edges indicating the item has been worked on. The grips have paint residue on the butt, and the finish is flaking on the upper edges. The grip panels do not align on the forward gripstrap, leaving a pronounced step. Action times and indexes correctly.
