*Smith & Wesson 125th Anniversary Commemorative Model 25-3 in Factory Display Box with Accessories
.45 Colt. 6.5" matted rib barrel. SN: S&W0174. Blued finish, color casehardened trigger and hammer, two-piece oversized S&W gold medallion smooth square butt grips. Double action revolver with swing out six-chambered fluted cylinder. Barrel roll marked SMITH & WESSON/125TH ANNIVERSARY on the right side with gold highlights and .45 CALIBER on the left, again with gold highlights in the marking. The Smith & Wesson logo on the right rear of the frame further lists the dates 1852-1977 and "125 YEARS" with gold accents. Wide checkered target hammer, grooved wide trigger, adjustable white U-outline rear sight, ramped front sight with orange insert. The revolver is in its blue cardboard "125th Anniversary" marked box and is accompanied by the wood factory display case with blue crushed velvet lining and inserts. The gun is further accompanied by a commemorative book entitled 125 Years with Smith & Wesson by Roy Jinks and a commemorative display coin. All is contained in the original cardboard shipping box. Only 10,000 of these guns were produced in 1977 with an issue price of $350, equivalent to slightly less than $1,800 today, adjusted for inflation.
