Includes hand-drawn plat and certification from Lafayette M. Laws, Superior Court Clerk dated 24 May 1866.

Manuscript copy of a deed recording the sale of 4 lots consisting of a total of approximately 4 acres of land in Macon to the Confederate States of America, by the Mayor and Council of the City of Macon, for $8,010 (chipping to edges, toning, creasing). 20 November 1862. Recorded 3 December 1862 and docketed on separate leaf. The land purchased by the CSA is described in multiple places as "square above armory."
