Condition
Needing slight repair for stability, but nearly ready to hang. the crest and one foliate ear are loose and held in place with masking tape, as is one of the swags from the bottom. Scattered small chips with exposed gesso and age cracks in the gold. A few age cracks in the ebonized bezel. One missing spherical ornament from the outer bezel. Back boards appear to be later 19th century replacements and the mirror plate appears to be a modern replacement. The cut glass drip pans have several broken points and one drip pan is cracked through its radius. The drip pans and brass nozzles are detached but present. The eagle is missing the tip of one wing with an exposed earlier glue repair. Additional images available upon request.
