Provenance
NOTE:Charlecote Antiques was an anchor of Kansas City’s historic Crestwood neighborhood across four decades. The shop represented a multi-generational passion for scholarship and collecting with an emphasis on British Furniture and Decorative Arts. Opened in 1980 by Kaye Francis Miller, Charlecote built a reputation for sourcing fine 18th century furniture directly from England with a keen eye on craftsmanship and form. Todd Miller soon followed his mother into the business and further developed Charlecote into a world-class retailer. Todd loved taking trips to Europe to find beautiful and unique items to bring back to the shop. He became a staple of the art fair circuit around the nation and endeared himself to both customers and fellow dealers with his knowledge and willingness to teach others.
