bearing crossed swords mark in underglaze blue to the underside; with gilt presentation inscription in German to the interior of the lid.

In good, stable condition. No cracks, chips or restorations. Some felt pads to underside. Additional images available upon request.

Provenance:Zaras Antiques, Palm Beach, December 18, 2004Note:The inscription on the underside of lid translates as "To their departing comrade/ in loyalty and devotion/ the officers of the 10th Regiment". It is possible this is in reference to the 10th Royal Saxon Infantry.
