Framed: 26 1/2 x 36 3/4 inches.Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust, with debris trapped between canvas verso and stretchers; canvas is not lined; significant pattern of craquelures throughout, as well as canvas distortion; pinpoint paint losses scattered along the lower center edge; small paint losses scattered along extreme margin edges. Under UV light: selective varnish cleaning to the background between the figures and horses; inpainting within craquelures within the horses' heads; one line of inpainting through the right-most figure's head; dots of inpainting within the face of the left-most figure; small areas of inpainting scattered along the lower edge.
