with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and brushed maker's and capacity marks.
possibly made as a presentation piece in celebration of Akron's annexation of Middlebury, which became Akron's Sixth Ward in 1873.

Condition
Exterior mouth rim with significant chip to exterior near handle; opposite side with two smaller chips to interior mouth rim. Crack spanning near entirety of underside and extending approx. 8 inches up body near the word "Sixth" up to handle, with corresponding fluorescence to body under UV light.
