Manhattan Arms Company Navy
.36 Cal. 4" barrel length. SN: 62187. Blued finish with brass gripstraps mounting one piece walnut grips and front brass bead and hammer notch rear sights. Single action five-shot percussion revolver with octagonal barrel and flat sided loading lever. Barrel address is struck in two lines reading MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEW YORK/PATENTED MARCH 8. 1864. Cylinder is roll engraved with five vignettes and marked PATENTED DEC. 27. 1859. Serial numbers match to the majority of parts but wedge pin is numbered 2197. Wedge screw is replaced.

Condition
Good. Bore is Dark with deep brown patina and pitting throughout. Metal finish is a deep brown patina overall with some edgewear and a continuous drag line to cylinder. Traces of blue on barrel flanks. Some pitting on forcing cone and forward cylinder. Gripstraps show an amber patina. All five nipples show signs of shattering. Grips have been sanded and show scuffs, mars, and dents. Hammer cocks and releases but the cylinder fails to fully index.
