Allen & Wheelock .32 Rimfire Side Hammer Second Model

.32 Rimfire. 4" barrel length. SN: 730. Blued metal finish with octagonal barrel, varnished walnut grips, and brass front blade sight. Single action six-shot removable cylinder revolver with cylinder pin doubling as ejector rod. Serial batch numbers match on barrel, cylinder, and frame. Left barrel shows two-line address and patent reading ALLEN & WHEELOCK WORCESTER. MS. U.S./ALLEN'S PAT'S. SEPT. 7. NOV. 9. 1858. Left frame shows the JULY 3 1860 patent marking. Cylinder is roll engraved with a hunting pasture scene.

Condition
Very Good. Bore is Frosty with some patched patina forming. Metal finish displays some traces of thin blue on barrel flats and forward frame, and in seams of the recoil shield. Finish is a pale gray patina with some buffing marks on rear frame. Grips sanded with some nicks on the edges. Action displays good timing with a tight lockup.
