Smith & Wesson Model 1 Third Issue
.22 Short. 3.125" barrel length. SN: 20844. Blued metal finish with varnished rosewood birdshead grips mounting German Silver front blade and cylinder stop rear notch sights. Single action tip up revolver with seven-shot cylinder. Fluted barrel rib marked in a single line SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. PAT. APR. 3. 55. JULY 5. 59. DEC. 18. 1860. Cylinder is fluted.

Condition
Good. Bore is Dark with patina throughout, strong rifling, and the remnants of a moth cocoon. Metal finish is a deep brown patina overall with some blue remaining on the rear frame around recoil shield and hammer recess. Cylinder displays a continuous turn ring. Grips show some light dents and mars overall. Latch is weak and slips open with light pressure. Cylinder stop spring is broken. Action times but fails to lock.
