**Swedish Husqvarna Mauser Model 1938 Short Rifle
6.5x55. 24" barrel. SN: 666530. Blued and bright finish, European hardwood stock. Bolt action military rifle with five round internal magazine, fed by stripper clips. Standard Husqvarna markings on receiver with 1942 production date. Rifle includes ladder military rear sight, post and blade front sight, brass elevation disc in obverse butt, sling swivels and cleaning rod. Turned down bolt is matching, numbered 530 and the barrel is import marked near the muzzle by CAI of St. Albans, VT.

Condition
Very good. Bore partly bright and moderately oxidized with good rifling. Bore will likely improve with cleaning. Metal with much of the blue intact with moderate thinning and loss due to high edge wear, and with some surface rust on the magazine floor plate, bolt handle and scattered along the barrel at the stock line of the forend. Mechanically functional action. Wood crisp with some old tape residue on the comb and some scattered bumps, dings and mars.
