7.62x54mmR. 20.2" barrel length. SN: (Cyrillic) AZh9858. Blued metal arsenal refinish with polished bolt in Birchwood straight wrist stock with full length upper handguard and sidefolding cruciform spike bayonet. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips. Item mounts standard adjustable tangent rear notch and post and globe front sights. Barrel shank is struck with the Soviet {Sickle and Hammer} mark, a date of 1944, and the {Arrow in Triangle} mark of the Izhevsk Arsenal. Serial numbers match on the bolt, barrel shank, buttplate, and magazine floorplate. Item further mounts a Soviet pattern canvas dog collar sling.
