**Israeli K98 Mauser Converted to 7.62
.308. 23.62" barrel length. SN: 8324a. Blued metal refinish, walnut semi pistol grip stock, half length upper handguard, and mounting adjustable tangent rear notch and front blade sights. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle charged with stripper clips. Item features finger grooves, and late pattern bolt disassembly port in lower buttplate. Receiver shows S/243 manufacturer code for Mauser-Werke over a date of 1938. German {Eagle} stamp to left receiver and three {Eagle/280} waffenamt marks to the right. Receiver and toe of stock show 7.62 caliber markings applied after its conversion by Israel with further Hebrew markings applied to left receiver along with Israeli {Star of David} stamp. Sling is leather and shows a Hebrew letter code followed by 2804-02524.
