**CMP Standard Products U.S. M1 Carbine

.30 Carbine. 18" barrel length. SN: 2030790. Parkerized metal finish with walnut low wood stock mounting type 3 barrel band with bayonet lug, and type 2 milled rear sight. Short stroke piston driven gas operated semi-automatic rifle fed by detachable double stack box magazines. Item features a round top bolt, rotary safety mechanism, and oval oiler cut to stock. Barrel is marked SAGINAW S.G. DIV./GENERAL MOTORS while the receiver shows the manufacturer marking STD. PRO. for Standard Products. Left stock struck A/68 and shows a rack number of 17 written to the stock cut in permanent marker. Right butt struck with serial number, indicating the rifle was rebuilt at some point. Comes with CMP shipping list and form, CMP owner's manual, and reprinted operator's manual.
