**CMP Winchester U.S. M1 Carbine

World War II, Korean War

.30 Carbine. 17.75" barrel length. SN: 1320423. Parkerized arsenal refinish set in walnut semi-pistol grip stock and mounting Type II adjustable rear aperture sight paired with front blade with protectors. Short stroke piston driven semi-automatic rifle fed by detachable double stack magazines and using a rotating bolt. Serial number indicates this item was produced between October, 1942, and December, 1943. Receiver is struck with WINCHESTER maker marking with forward receiver exhibiting standard model and caliber marks reading U.S. CARBINE/CAL. .30 M1. Barrel shows standard W stamp indicating Winchester manufacture, and mounts Type III barrel band marked AI. Item features the rotary safety mechanism, dished bolt, and low wood stock. Butt is struck with the I marking. Comes with a CMP owner's manual, a reprint of the M1 Carbine Operator's Manual, and a shipping checklist. Also included is a KI stamped 15-shot magazine.

Very Good as Arsenal Refinished. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows edgewear overall with scattered scratches and mars. A thick layer of preservative grease encloses the bolt and receiver internals, and the magazine. Stock has some scattered dents and mars. Item shows a muzzle erosion reading of 1, and throat erosion of between 1 and 2.
