**US Springfield Model 1898 Krag Rifle
Spanish American War, Philippine American War
.30-40. 30" barrel length. SN: 201506. Blued metal finish with polished bolt set in walnut straight wrist stock with half length upper handguard mounting pinned front blade and pattern of 1902 rear sights. Left receiver is struck MODEL 1898. followed by U.S./SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. Item further shows U stamp to the lower barrel band, and a circle P marking to the wrist below number 11. Left wrist shows the faint outline of a cartouche that has been sanded down and left illegible.

Condition
Good. Bore is dirty with some residues throughout that should clean to Bright with crisp rifling and some light pitting. Metal finish shows some thin blue remaining on the barrel with a brown patina dominating overall, some mottled gray forming to the interior receiver, and brown patina on bolt handle. Stock shows some light scuffs and dents with rounded edges from sanding.
