**Rare Colt Made Argentine Model 1911 Government Model Manufactured 1915

.45 ACP. 5" barrel length. SN: C20155. Blued military refinish overall mounting replacement checkered black synthetic grips and standard military pattern sights. Short recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines and standard 1911 features including wide knurled hammer, flat lanyard loop mainspring housing, and frame without relief cut behind trigger. Top of the slide struck with the {Argentinian Liberty Cap Crest}. Further marks include two line patent to left slide reading PATENTED APR. 20. 1897. SEPT. 9. 1902/DEC. 19. 1905. FEB. 14. 1911. AUG. 19. 1913 followed by address reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. Rear slide struck with the {Rampant Colt} logo behind serrations. Right slide marked COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45 forward of the ejection port. Right frame shows GOVERNMENT MODEL mark above the serial number. Interior grip panels show INDUSTRIA/ARGENTINA marks. Serial numbers match on slide, frame, barrel, and magazine floorplate.

Condition
Good as Refinished. Bore is Frosty with oxidation and light pitting near muzzle and some wear to rifling throughout. Markings weakened by refinish with the bluing showing some edgewear, operating wear to the frame and slide, scratches at muzzle, and some internal cycling wear. Item shows some light pitting over the slide and outer edges of frame filled in by refinish. Grips with some handling wear and few skips.
