*Composite Colt Single Action Army .45

.45 Long Colt. 4.75" barrel length. SN: 73974. Case colored refinish to frame with remainder of parts blued mounting checkered hardrubber grips with {Rampant Colt} logos. Single action loading gate revolver mounting topstrap notch and front blade sights with a smokeless powder frame, black powder barrel, and teardrop shaped ejector rod head. Topstrap shows a dovetail cut filled in with new steel where a target sight was once mounted. Left frame struck with three patents in two-line mark followed by circled {Rampant Colt} logo. Barrel displays a two-line colt address to top and 45 COLT caliber mark to the left side. Left triggerguard is struck 44 C.F. Serial numbers are mixed.

Condition
Fair as refinished. Bore is dirty with some dust and residues that should clean to Bright with crisp rifling. Metal finish shows pitting to recoil shield with further sprinkled pits overall. Case colors are strong with some scuffs to the edges and flecked gray patina forming. Some pitting over the ejector rod housing with the barrel showing some flecked patina and scratches. Further brown flecks to the gripstraps. Grips exhibit some scratches and mars with loss of fine details to the logos and sharpness to checkering. Action fails to fully index cylinder or enter safety notch, and requires repair.
