Armi Sport Replica Springfield Model 1861 Rifle Musket
.58 caliber. 40" barrel secured by three flat spring-retained bands. SN: AC1994. Bright finish, iron furniture, hardwood stock. Single shot percussion muzzleloading reproduction rifle musket with leaf rear sight, combination front sight and socket bayonet lug, sling swivels and markings to suggest it is a US Model 1861 Springfield Rifle Musket. Made by Armi Sport and so marked. Includes a reproduction ramrod of the correct pattern.

Condition
Very good. Bore mostly bright with crisp rifling and some frosting. Metal mostly bright with some lightly scattered minor oxidation. Markings crisp. Action functional but the mainspring is spongey and the tumbler and sear feel gritty, typical of Italian reproduction locks. Wood with scattered bumps and bruises and a large chip missing along the upper edge of the counterpane.
