Framed: 41 x 27 x 3 3/4 inches.Moderate deposits of surface dirt and dust; canvas is lined; one small paint loss in center left; very fine hairline craquelures throughout, only visible upon close examination. Under UV light: inpainting through the upper half of the dais; small strokes of inpainting to the right sides of both Mary and Child's face; inpainting within the Child's right shoulder and an area extending along his right waist and under the right leg; a vertical area of small strokes to address craquelures in Mary's lower skirt; a line of inpainting behind St. John's right leg; additional small strokes and spots of inpainting in scattered areas, primarily in the background and Mary's robe.
