A Small Directoire Brass Mounted Walnut Commode and Associated Later Chest
France, Late 18th/Early 19th Century
Directoire commode with black marble top: height 34 x width 26 1/2 x depth 14 1/2 inches.
Later chest with blue marble top: height 33 x width 36 x depth 20 inches.
This lot is located in Palm Beach.
Condition
Both chests are in good structural condition presenting minor wear commensurate with age and use. The small directoire chest displays a crack and corresponding repair to the marble top from which a very small piece has not been retained. The later chest with blue marble top retains some surface scratches to the marble top. Please see condition photos.
