.38 Super. 3.5" barrel length. SN: 396084. Blued metal finish with polished barrel and external extractor, case colored hammer, and smooth walnut grip panels. Short recoil operated single-action autoloading pistol fed by detachable magazines. Item features a bushingless bull barrel, full length guide rod, white three dot sights, and a pivoting trigger. Frame shows Spanish firing proofs and extractor indicate the parent gun was a Star Model B. Maker mark to right slide reads LA FRANCE SPECIALTIES/TEMPLE CITY, CA. U.S.A. with model mark to the left reading LS NOVA. Serial number preceded by B on the butt. Hammer spur has been cut down, consistent with La France Nova series handguns. Magazine, barrel, and frame display matching serial numbers. {MODERN}
