Imported by Bergen Corp in the 1980s, the BM62 was manufactured by Beretta for the civilian market as a semi-automatic only version of the BM59. These were made available in multiple configurations, including with the folding stock seen on Alpine and Paratrooper versions of the BM59. Less than 2,000 BM62 rifles were imported into the United States, making them far more scarce than semi-automatic converted BM59 rifles. {MODERN}
