*Mauser Model 98 Custom Engraved by F.W. Ward
5.6x57. 28" barrel. SN: 4778. Blued finish, jeweled bolt, Monte Carlo style hardwood stock, horn forend and grip caps. Bolt action, highly embellished sporterized Mauser with a Bohler Spezial marked Austrian barrel, shoed trigger and a J Unertl 10x scope in adjustable mounts, with QD sling swivel studs. Magazine floor plate and triggerguard are profusely engraved with flowing foliate designs and further embellished with a raised gold leaf groundhog. The engraving is not signed by attributed to F.W. Fine as refinished. Fine bright bore with crisp rifling. Metal with most of the applied finish intact. Metal crisp, engraving very crisp and fine. Mechanically functional action. Stock fine and crisp with some lightly scattered handling marks.
