[ENSLAVEMENT] 1851 inventory of property and enslaved peoples from the AL Estate of Wm. Anderson. 



4pp, 12 1/2 x 7 3/4 in., bifolium.

Detailed "Coppy [sic] of the Sail [sic] Price of the Estate of William Anderson," deceased 20 November 1851, believed to be in Alabama. The inventory lists at least 18 enslaved persons, many identified, including 4 children. Values range from $245 for "Boy Jack" to $867 for "Negro Girl Ann & Child." Additional purchases are also noted, including livestock and equipment, along with the names of the buyers.
