Winchester 3rd Model 1873 Rifle in .32-20 with Factory Single Set Trigger
.32-20. 24" octagonal barrel. SN: 166958 (mfg. ca. 1884). Blued finish, color casehardened lever and hammer, brass cartridge lifter, smooth walnut stock with crescent buttplate and smooth forend. Lever action tubular magazine fed repeating rifle with adjustable single set trigger, semi-buckhorn elevation adjustable rear sight, dovetailed blade front sight, machined integral dust cover rail and sliding dust cover. Standard two-line Winchester markings, caliber marking on top of barrel and on bottom of lifter. As it is a .32-20 rifle the butt does not have a trapdoor for cleaning rods. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Fine. Bore mostly bright with crisp rifling, showing some scattered oxidation and some frosting in the grooves. Barrel with much of the blue remaining, magazine tube mostly toning towards plum brown, frame with some nice blue and streaky wear and loss. Lever and hammer with some strong traces of muted case coloring. Markings clear and crisp. Mechanically functional action. Wood with scattered bumps, dings and mars and some discolored scuffs on the reverse of the butt.
