*Pre-War Browning Hi-Power Custom by Armand Swenson with Work Order


9mm Para. 4.89" barrel length. SN: 55539. Hard chromed finish overall mounting checkered and varnished walnut grips, and featuring matted front ramp and Smith & Wesson K-38 pattern adjustable rear sights. Short recoil operated single action autoloading pistol fed by double stack magazines and heavily customized by gunsmith Armand Swenson. Original Belgian markings include FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE/HERSTAL BELGIQUE/BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE with standard Belgian proof marks on the frame, slide, and barrel. Custom features include fine checkering to the front gripstrap and backstrap, extended safety lever, reshaped spur hammer, pinned barrel bushing, and a bypassed magazine safety mechanism. Magazine is hard chromed with black synthetic follower.

Comes with the original work order dated June 11, 1975, and describing all modifications performed by Swenson. {MODERN}

Condition
Very Good to Excellent. Bore is Minty with sharp rifling throughout. Metal finish shows a light scratch to the left frame below the slide stop, few scratches to the forward slide. Grips retain crisp checkering with a light dent to the left panel.
