*Mauser Model 98 Custom in 6.5-06 with Leupold M8 Scope


6.5-06. 25.5" barrel length. SN: NSN. Blued barrel with remaining metal parts case colored, a jeweled extractor and latch spring, and a semi pistol grip curly maple stock with fine checkering to wrist and forend enclosed by engraved Arabesque borders. Bolt action internal magazine fed repeating rifle mounting a BUEHLER/ORINDA. CAL marked scope base fitted with a vintage LEUPOLD M8 7.5X scope. Left stock features a cheek pad. Bolt knob finely checkered with floral accent over a beaded ground. Buttplate and pistol grip cap are skeletonized with wood checkered. Rifle further mounts front and rear sling swivel studs, and a trigger shoe with matching finish to trigger. Rifle features a custom cocking piece without safety flag, and with a new safety lever to the right wrist. Caliber mark to barrel reads 6.5X06. Left receiver struck with original maker mark reading DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND/MUNITIONSFABRIKEN BERLIN. {MODERN}

Condition
Very Fine. Bore is dirty with some firing residues throughout that should clean to Very Bright or better with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish displays some internal cycling wear to the bolt and receiver, and some thinning finish to the muzzle. Stock displays few dull spots and light dents. Scope is dirty.
