4 CDVs featuring post-war portraits of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

Includes: A seated portrait of Lee dressed in the uniform that he wore for his meeting with General Grant at Appomattox. Winchester, VA: Routzahn & Co. The image was originally taken by Mathew Brady at Lee's Richmond home on Franklin Street in April, 1865, not long after Appomattox. -- Quarter-length, profile portrait of Lee in civilian attire. Uncredited, but originally taken by Alexander Gardner in February, 1866. -- Half-length seated portrait of Lee. New York: Brady, Anthony, ca 1866. 2-cent US Internal Revenue stamp on verso. The image was taken by Brady in 1866 when Lee visited Washington, DC to attend Senate hearings. -- Vignetted view of an aged Lee in civilian dress. Washington: Brady & Co., ca 1865. Manuscript notation on verso, "Genl. Lee, Pres't. of Washington College, Va., Nov. 1865."
