6" blade length. Straight modified Tanto point single edge blade with black G10 grip scales, full tang construction, and channel cuts to the blade. Left blade is struck with AIRKAT marking along with M, 12, and 154 CM marks. Right blade struck CARRILLO and APACHE. Left grip scale is engraved FP 12. Lanyard loop to the pommel with OD green paracord lanyard. Item comes with a matching AIRKAT marked black leather sheath containing a lensatic compass, a sharpening rod, and a magnesium fire starter. Rear face of the sheath is stamped AIRKAT HUNTING KNIVES/OKLAHOMA CITY, OK with the front marked WARNING/THIS RIG INTENDED/FOR PROFESSIONAL/USE ONLY.
Dwaine Carrillo began making custom knives in 1998, initially producing an array of sturdy fixed blade knives intended for rugged handling by professional outdoorsmen. In the latter years of his business, he began to focus on building the heavy duty folding knives for which he is best known, until his passing in 2021.
