A Set of Six Venetian Rococo Carved Giltwood Dining Chairs
18th Century
Four armchairs and two side chairs; cabriole legs terminating in hoof feet with embroidered burgundy silk upholstery, slip backs and seats.
Height 44 1/2 x width 28 1/4 x depth 19 1/2 inches; seat height 18 1/2 inches.
This lot is located in Palm Beach.
Condition
The chairs are in overall good condition, structurally sound and ready to place. There is some overall wear to the giltwood surfaces, some shrinkage cracks and scattered old, wood inactive worming. There are a few scattered small stains to the upholstery. The chairs lettered individually in chalk on the back seat rails 'A, D, K, L, M, N'.The seat measurements are as follows: Side chairs: height 18 x width at widest 21 x depth 19 inches.Armchairs: height 18 x width at widest 25 x depth 16 1/2 inches.
