Comprising a nearly complete group of 399 issues of the French satirical newspaper bound in three folios, from the first (January 26, 1868) to the the last (June 25, 1876) (lacking one issue: no. 137, September 4 1870).
The Illustrations are mostly by caricaturist Andre Gill (French, 1840-1885), but a few issues were illustrated by Régamey, Le Petit, Pépin, Draner, and others.
The texts and columns are by Bienvenu, Blondet, Hervilly, and Vermersch.
Bound in three period-decorated green half-shagreen folios: 1868-1870, 1871-1873, 1874-1876.
Each folio height 19 1/4 x width 13 1/2 inches.
