A Roman Marble Lower Torso of a Satyr
Circa 2nd Century A.D.
Height 16 inches (40.64 cm).
Condition
Inspected under UV light and 10x loupe. Fragmentary with uneven breaks at thighs and waist. Several gouges, losses, and abrasions typical of age. Encrustations throughout and variegated yellow patina to surface. Overall in fine and attractive condition with excellent sparkle to mid-sized quartz inclusions. See additional images. Height with stand 69 1/2 inches (176.53 cm).
