A Greek Black-Figured Mug with an Octopus

Circa Late 5th Century B.C.

Height 2 7/8 inches (7.3 cm).

Condition
Inspected under UV light and 10x loupe. Intact as preserved. Old inventory number "M126" inscribed in red ink on inside of rim. Scratches, surface cracks, abrasions, and weathering typical of age. Heavy mineral deposits present inside. Some areas of overpaint. Overall in very fine and attractive condition. See additional images. Height with stand 5 inches (12.7 cm).
