Danish Model 1867 Rolling Block Military Rifle
11.7x51R. 35.375" barrel. SN: 63601 (mfg. ca. 1883). Blued barrel, bright receiver, European hardwood stock and forend secured by three rounded, solid, spring retained barrel bands. Single shot rolling block action military rifle built by the Danish Arsenal in Copenhagen under license from Remington with a military ladder rear sight, dovetailed blade front sight, saber bayonet bar on barrel, sling swivels and slotted jag head cleaning rod. Tang with arsenal markings and 1883 date, receiver with model and Danish ownership markings, inspection marks on stock comb. {ANTIQUE}

Condition
Very good. Bore partly bright with moderate amounts of scattered oxidation and strong rifling. Barrel with traces of finish that have oxidized to a mostly smooth plum brown, with some scattered discoloration and freckled roughness. Receiver with old, dried oil that has yellowed. Markings remain clear and crisp. Mechanically functional action. Stock very good with scattered bumps, dings and mars.
